RSI: Reactive Strength Index describes the individual's capability to quickly change from an eccentric muscular contraction to a concentric one. An athlete’s ability to quickly transition from through this stretch-shortening cycle is critical for performance in many sports. If not done properly, it can lead to tissue breakdown as well as performance decrement.
